Safety by design

Safety at PairMee: mechanisms and guidelines

What the product enforces for you, and the habits we ask every rider to keep. Written plainly, including what PairMee does not do.

Is PairMee safe?

PairMee is built so you stay in control. Everyone signs in with Google, you approve or decline every match, women can post women-only rides, and your exact pickup stays private until you accept. PairMee is a matching platform only: it does not verify backgrounds or guarantee safety, so these guidelines matter.

More questions are answered straight on the FAQ page.

How PairMee is built for control

Google sign-in only
No anonymous accounts. Every rider has a real Google identity behind their profile. ID verification is on the roadmap and not live yet, so we say so.
You approve every match
Requests come to you. Review each profile and decide. Nothing is confirmed, and nobody gets your details, until you say yes.
Women-only rides
Post a ride only women can ask to join. One toggle when you post, your call always.
Pickup stays city-level
Strangers browsing rides see your area, not your address. Your exact meeting point is shared only after you accept a match.

These mechanisms are part of the flow itself. See the whole flow on how it works.

What are the PairMee safety guidelines?

PairMee's guidelines cover four moments: before you match, while you communicate, during the ride, and in an emergency. They are practical habits, like reviewing profiles, keeping conversations in the app, meeting in public places, and calling local emergency services if needed. Please read them before your first ride. Your safety matters to us.

Your Safety is Your Responsibility

PairMee is a matching platform only. We do not provide transportation, verify user backgrounds, or guarantee safety. You are solely responsible for your decisions and actions.

Before You Match

  • Review rider profiles carefully
  • Check verification status (Google sign-in) and ratings
  • Read reviews from previous rides
  • Trust your instincts. Decline if something feels off.

Communication

  • Keep conversations in-app when possible
  • Do not share sensitive personal information
  • Confirm all ride details before meeting
  • Be respectful in all communications

During the Ride

  • Share your trip details with a friend or family member
  • Meet in public, well-lit locations
  • Confirm the taxi and your ride companion before getting in
  • Keep your phone charged and accessible
  • If you feel unsafe, end the ride immediately

Emergency Protocol

  • In an emergency, call local emergency services immediately
  • Report any incidents or safety concerns through the app
  • PairMee does not provide emergency response services
  • Keep emergency contacts readily available
