About PairMee
What is PairMee?
PairMee is a ride-matching platform that connects travelers heading in the same direction at similar times. We help you find compatible travel companions to share rides and split costs, splitting a taxi for example. PairMee does not provide transportation services. We only facilitate connections between users.
How does matching work?
You describe your trip in one sentence, like "from Tel Aviv to the airport tomorrow at 9", in any language. PairMee reads it into a structured search, then matches you against posted rides on route, date, time, and seats left. Matching itself is plain math, not a guess, so the same search always gives the same result. You see the profile of each rider and the fare you would each pay, and you send a join request. If nobody is going your way yet, the same sentence becomes your own ride post in one tap.
Is PairMee a taxi service?
No. PairMee is a matching platform only. We do not operate vehicles, employ drivers, or provide transportation. Users arrange their own rides independently. All travel decisions and arrangements are the sole responsibility of users.
Cost and matching
How much does it cost?
PairMee does not charge booking fees. You browse and post routes, see who is heading the same way, and approve who joins. Riders split the fare directly among themselves, and PairMee does not handle payments.
Can I cancel a ride?
Yes. You can cancel pending join requests or withdraw from a matched group. Cancellation policies and any cost implications are determined by the users involved, not by PairMee.
What if nobody is on my route yet?
PairMee is new, and some routes do not have rides yet. If yours is one of them, you are first. Post your trip, it is free, and you get an email when people ask to join. You approve every match, so nothing is confirmed until you say yes.
Did services like this not fail in Israel before?
The shared-mobility services that closed here operated the vehicles: vans to lease, drivers to pay, rides to subsidize. Every trip burned money until the money stopped. PairMee operates nothing. Riders match with each other and split a regular taxi that already exists, so there is no fleet to fund and no ride is subsidized. It shares a goal with those services, not an economy.
Safety and trust
How does verification work?
All users sign in with Google, so there are no anonymous accounts. You can see each person’s profile and photo before agreeing to share a trip, plus any ratings they’ve earned from past rides. ID verification is on the roadmap and not live yet.
What are women-only rides?
When posting a ride, any woman can mark it women-only. Only women can then ask to join it. The setting is a single toggle on the post form and always the ride owner’s choice.
Is my information safe?
We take privacy seriously. Your personal information is only shared with matched riders when you accept a join request. You control what information appears on your profile. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
What if something goes wrong?
If something isn’t right, reach us through the Support page and we’ll do our best to help. PairMee connects riders. We don’t operate the taxi, so for anything happening during the ride, contact the driver or emergency services first.
