A standing ride board for your residents, without running it yourself

PairMee gives your council a standing ride board: residents driving to Be'er Sheva, Tel Aviv or Ashkelon offer their free seats, residents who need a ride find them by village and time. The same board serves every council event. And every month you see where residents looked for a ride, from which village, on which day and at what hour, so shuttles and lines go where the need is. We set it up and run it with you.

This is a council ride board, full size

A demo board in Eshkol Regional Council's colors, to show the format: residents of 12 kibbutzim and moshavim driving to Be'er Sheva, Tel Aviv and Ashkelon every working day, finding each other by village and time.

Residents driving from their own village, each with free seats (demo)
  1. 1

    The council's own board

Your emblem, your colors and your name, in Hebrew and English. Residents know it is the council's before they read a word.

  2. 2

Rides from the resident's own village first

A resident of Urim sees the 07:00 ride from Urim to Be'er Sheva first, with its free seats, and asks to join in 1 tap. The driver approves.

  3. 3

    Every option shows real rides

Looking for a ride, driving, or sharing a taxi: whichever a resident picks, the rides and people already on the board are right there.

More than the hours you save

In our market research with residents and attendees the same reason keeps coming up: people give up on an event, or a trip to the city, before it starts, because getting there is the hard part. The bus does not run at the right hour, a taxi costs too much, or there is nobody to go with.

  • More residents at every council event

Residents without a car, young people and older residents find a ride from their own village, so the event reaches people who would have stayed home.

  • Nobody has to come alone

A resident who would not drive 40 minutes alone at night joins a neighbor going the same way.

  • A community, not only a car

Neighbors from the same village meet on the way. The board becomes a place residents use every week, not only on event days.

  • The council looks after the whole evening

Getting there and getting home are part of the event, with the council's name on it. Our aim: more residents come, and fewer change their mind at the last minute.

Your residents drive anyway. Help them fill the seats

Residents with a car already drive to the city and to your events. Give a full car a reason, and the board shows drivers the neighbors going the same way.

  1. 01

    Parking for full cars

Reserve spots at city events and in municipal lots for cars with 3 or more residents. Israel Railways and Moovit tried the same idea at Binyamina and Beit Yehoshua stations in 2016 and 2017.

  2. 02

    A faster way out

A lane of their own when the event ends.

  3. 03

    Thank the drivers

With their consent, thank the residents who drive their neighbors, in the council's own channels.

The perk goes to the car and everyone in it, never cash to a driver per passenger. Passengers share fuel costs with the driver as the law allows, and PairMee takes no cut.

How to get drivers on board

When public transport stops, the event does not

Many city events fall on a Friday, a Saturday night or a holiday, when most lines do not run. Residents without a car get there with neighbors who drive anyway.

  • 1.8 million passengers

Free weekend buses funded by 12 authorities in the center carried 1,817,000 passengers in 2025, at about ₪27M to ₪29M a year.

  • About 130 of 418

Bus lines with a Shabbat permit that do not actually run (Freedom of Information Movement, Dec 2025).

  • Residents without a car

Only 41.1% of households in the lowest income decile own a car (CBS 2023).

The council sees the numbers live, and gets a monthly summary

An organizer dashboard, aggregate only, no names: people on the board, rides, rides still open, people looking and rides that filled, by village and by day. Every month, a written summary of the numbers and what we would change.

  • By village

Where residents drive from and where people are still waiting, so the council knows where a shuttle or a nudge in the village group would help.

  • By day

Which mornings fill up and which need more drivers, week after week.

  • No personal data lands on the council

Residents sign up to PairMee under our privacy policy. The council receives counts and areas, never names, phone numbers or addresses.

The council's dashboard: 182 rides on the board, 67 with riders approved (demo)

Decide where the next shuttle goes, with numbers

The arrival demand report shows where residents looked for a ride and did not find one, by village and by day. Put the shuttle budget where the gap is.

  • Where the gaps are

People looking for a ride and people who found one, by town and by day, there and back.

  • In time to act

Where many are left without a seat, add a shuttle, ask drivers from there to post, or move a start time.

  • Numbers, never names

No group smaller than 10 people, places stop at the town, nothing to export. We prepare it and send it to you with every event.

What is in the arrival demand report
KAN Festival, October 2026: people who listed themselves as looking
  1. Tel Aviv area

26 looked for a ride, 8 found one, 18 did not. 7 rides left from there.

  2. All other areas

19 looked for a ride, 6 found one, 13 did not. 20 rides left from there.

Numbers from the board. Found counts people who listed themselves as looking and got a seat through the board. 4 more people joined a ride without listing themselves, so 18 people without a car found a driver in all. People who did not find a seat on the board may have come another way.

What buyers ask us on every call

Why not just open a WhatsApp group?

For a small group of people who know each other, do. For a public event, a group shows every member's phone number to everyone, buries the offers under hundreds of messages, and leaves the matching to whoever reads fastest. It also gives the city no numbers. PairMee matches people by area and time, keeps phone numbers private and shows you what happened.

Is PairMee a transport company? Who drives?

No. PairMee does not supply vehicles or drivers. Residents who are already driving offer their free seats, and residents who need a ride ask to join. The driver approves every request. Any cost sharing is settled between the people in the car, and PairMee takes no cut.

Who holds the residents' data?

Residents sign up to PairMee under our privacy policy. The city receives aggregate numbers only, with no names, phone numbers or addresses. On the board people see first names and the area a ride leaves from, and they talk in a chat inside the app.

What if nobody posts a ride?

People who listed themselves as looking stay visible to every driver from their area and can ask to be told when a new ride is posted to the board. Drivers come first, so before each event we prepare texts that ask residents with free seats to post them, for your channels and signs.

Is it safe?

Every user signs in to an account, drivers approve each request, women can choose women-only rides, people rate each other after a ride, and anyone can block another user. Exact addresses are never shown on the board.

How long does it take to start?

An event page is live within 1 working day of getting the details. A city program starts with the next event on your calendar.

Who is responsible for the rides?

The people in the car. PairMee connects people and does not operate rides. We do not check ID, driving licences or insurance; users declare they are 18 or older, the driver approves every request, and anyone can report a problem or block a user. The organizer shares a link and does not run the rides. Terms of use

Is there insurance?

PairMee does not insure rides. Drivers travel under their own car insurance, and anyone sharing costs should check with their insurer what their policy covers. Our guide to carpooling in Israel explains the rules.

Is it accessible?

We publish an accessibility statement, and it says plainly that some screens in the app are still hard to use with a screen reader. Tell us your requirements and we will go through them with your accessibility officer.

Where does PairMee work?

We run boards in Israel and take organizers in other countries too, in English and Hebrew. Outside Israel we quote in US dollars.
